Kemenah Scores His Fourth Career World of Outlaws Win At Eldora Speedway
By: Joe Burrage
Chad Kemenah captured his fourth career World of Outlaws win on Friday night at the Eldora Speedway located in New Weston, Ohio. Kemenah was able to dodge a huge accident and show a lot of patience before he inherited the lead on Lap-23 of the feature. On the ensuing restart Kemenah was able to pull away from second place runner Donny Schatz and hold on for his first career World of Outlaw win at the Eldora Speedway.
“It feels great to win a race here at Eldora in front of our family and friends and I have been racing here for a long time and I consider this one of my home tracks and we finally got it done,” said Kemenah. “I have to thank my wife Tracy, my only crew member Adam Brough who works so hard for us, Bob Hampshire, Chuck Merrill of Maxim Chassis, and everyone associated with this team this is for you and I can’t thank them enough for all the support over the past few years.”
Kemenah drove a very good race an was in the top five for the entire feature and he was able to stay clear of the biggest accident of the race which happened on Lap-23; where a total of five cars were involved and Kemenah drove right under the entire accident as Kerry Madsen, David Gravel, Paul McMahan, Tim Shaffer, and Craig Dollansky flipped in turn two and the rest was history as Kemenah drove his Hampshire powered, Maxim Chassis, No.63 sprinter to the checkered flag for the win.
“I had a feeling something was going to happen on that last restart,” said Kemenah. “I went as low as I could to try and avoid any sort of trouble and luck was on our side for once. The CKR (Chad Kemenah Racing) Team is a low budget team that is still actively searching for sponsorship so we have to take excellent care of all of our equipment and avoid any sort of accidents at all times and this win will really help us out in more ways than one.”
Chad Kemenah and the rest of the World of Outlaws will be back in action at the Lincoln Speedway for the first time in 14 years on Wednesday night. Kemenah has raced at the Lincoln Speedway located in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania numerous times with the All Stars and most recently he raced at the track back in 2009 aboard the Charlie and Dawn Sorokach No.35 sprinter.
“Anytime you race in the Central Pennsylvania area the competition level is going to be at an all time high,” says Kemenah. “The Lincoln Speedway is a very fast 1/3 mile track that is always action packed and it makes drivers work hard every lap, I am really looking forward to racing there again because it’s a neat place and I am sure the Pennsylvania Posse drivers and fans will be out in full force on Wednesday night looking to beat any of the World of Outlaws driver and teams.”
