Looking Ahead To Clay County & Deer Creek This Weekend

By: Joe Burrage

This weekend Chad Kemenah will be racing on Friday night at the Clay County Fair located in Spencer, Iowa and on Saturday night he will be at the Deer Creek Speedway in Spring Valley, Minnesota.  Kemenah is looking to get back on track after a very tough weekend of racing out in California.

The past few weeks have been good for Kemenah and crew member Adam Brough.  The car has been solid every night they have raced and with a little bit of luck Chad Kemenah can bring home his first World of Outlaws victory in 2011 and first as a car owner of the Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Hampshire Racing Engines, MS Motorsports, Key State Ag Service, Maxim Chassis, No.63 machine.

On Friday night Kemenah will take on the rest of the World of Outlaws at the Clay County Fair Raceway, a newly configured track that has provided some great racing over the past couple of years.  Kemenah has been solid on the short tracks throughout his career and has raced on this big 3/8 mile on four separate occasions, his best finish was a seventh place run back in 2009.

“The Clay County Fair in Spencer, Iowa is definitely a race I feel we can win if everything can work in our favor,” said Kemenah.  “Adam and I have been working on this car all year and we are getting close, winning a World of Outlaws race is not easy but when you get a chance to win one you have to take advantage of it right away.  We are ready to go and we will make our way to the fair to have some great food before the racing action starts.”

The following night Kemenah will make his way to the high banked action packed Deer Creek Speedway.  This racetrack is really neat and has left the race fans begging for more racing action the past few years the World of Outlaws have visited this facility.  Kemenah has raced at every World of Outlaws race since the series has returned to the track back in 2009.  Kemenahs best finish at the Deer Creek Speedway came back in 2009 where he crossed the finish line in the 14th position.

“I remember showing up to the Deer Creek Speedway back in 2009 in the early afternoon and the parking lot was half full already,” says Kemenah.  “That says a lot about the fans out here and they have been treated to some excellent racing the past few years and hopefully we are part of it this year.  We want to return back home to Ohio with some momentum on our side so we can finish our 2011 season off strong.”

Skagit Speedway Recap

By: Joe Burrage

The dust has settled at the Skagit Speedway located in Alger, Washington and Chad Kemenah was able to bring the car home in one piece.  Skagit Speedway over the years has provided some of the best racing action on the tour which makes it very fun for the fans, for the drivers the 3/10 mile bullring is one of the most physically demanding tracks to race on and you have to have your elbows up at all times.

Chad Kemenah kicked off his Gold Rush Tour on Friday night and was able to stay clear of multiple accidents en route to a tenth place finish.  The night didn’t start well for Kemenah as he timed in 16th quick overall putting him towards the back of the first heat race.  The track was so fast and narrow passing cars would be very difficult and Kemenah was able to drive ten perfects laps and hold onto the final transfer spot into the A-Main.

Starting in the 16th position for the 30-Lap, feature Kemenah knew had to be patient and let the track come to him and stay clear of trouble because the track was starting to get rough.  The green light quickly came on around the Skagit Speedway and once the feature event got going Kemenah was on the move.  Kemenah had worked his way up to the eighth position and was getting ready to challenge for the seventh position and the last yellow flag of the night would come out.  On the ensuing restart Kemenah was not able to avoid the rough spots on the track and two cars got by him quickly and a few laps later the race was over. Kemenah Back In The US And Looking For More Top Five Finishes

By: Joe Burrage

Chad Kemenah and crew member Adam Brough have had a very busy week preparing the Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks, Hampshire Racing Engines, MS Motorsports, Maxim, No.63.  Kemenah and the rest of the World of Outlaws made there way to Washington after some very competitive racing last weekend at the Castrol Raceway in Edmonton, Alberta Canada.

“We had a pretty good weekend in Edmonton,” said Kemenah.  “Friday we were able to work our way into the top ten late in the race and finish in the 10th position after the checkered flag came out, but we learned a few things about the track and the car and it really paid off on Saturday night when we finished in fourth place.  Adam and I have been working hard all year so hopefully this sparks some momentum for us this weekend at the Skagit Speedway.”

Kemenah and Brough are now focusing in on the racing this upcoming weekend at the Skagit Speedway located in Alger, Washington.  The Skagit Speedway is an action packed bullring that brings plenty of excitement to the fans every year when the World of Outlaws invades the 3/10 mile track.  Read more »
